Over 40% of Home Improvement Contractors Accessing E-mail Via iPhone According to BuildZoom

Today, BuildZoom released usage data, drawn from a national sample of around 3,000 home improvement contractors, which indicated that the iPhone was the most popular tool for accessing e-mails.
In fact, the data revealed that over 40% of BuildZoom home improvement contractors use the iPhone to receive the bulk of their e-mails during a typical workday, far outpacing Hotmail (~15%), Yahoo! (~13%) and Outlook 2007 (~8%).
“Home improvement contractors are mobile entities,” said Ryan Petersen, a spokesman for the company. “The iPhone is a natural fit for the way they live and work.”
The research data was based on analysis the e-mail usage of over 3,000 registered BuildZoom users over a several month period.
